Real Travel Company was founded in the fall of 2005 with the goal of providing the world's most efficient and impactful group travel.  Although the methods may seem at times complicated, the purpose is simple: Real Travel Company wants to get people abroad to experience the world first hand.

There are only 2 basic requirements to plan a trip with Real Travel Company.

1) Collaboration with a reputable charity or nonprofit in the destination country

2) Travel with a budget alloting both time and money to be spent working with that hosting organization.

Real Travel Company runs as a very non-traditional absolute non-profit. Donations and financial supporters are nice, but not needed for the running of this company. All the money needed for travel comes directly from those traveling. Most importantly, every penny that comes into the system is spent directly on either enriching the experience of those travelers or supporting the cause with which they choose to work during their trip. But don't think of this as an international Alternative Spring Break, the purpose of working with a hosting organization is not to work a 40 hour week as a volunteer. The goal is to foster interaction with a cause and meet people working to better the lives of others.

The key to this all being possible is a simple, yet effective, method of cost control. Since those traveling will be working with a host organization, that host organization becomes a part of the trip's creation. By cooperating with people on the ground to make arrangements such as hotels, bus transport, and meals, the overall cost of the trip is greatly reduced.
